Welcome to the community board for people working to improve Tripter.com, the multilanguage travel site.

Tripter is a project to make travel planning easier for millions of people by integrating the best travel resources available in each language. We currently facilitate reservations at some 70,000+ hotels in 17 languages and integrate city travel guide's from WikiTravel (or Wikipedia) and show properties on GoogleMaps.

We have a lot more ideas and very much need your help. If you have an idea, might like to get involved, or see an opportunity to collaborate, please contact us.

Features & Tools

Travel Guide: WikiTravel & Wikipedia integration.
Reservation Service Suppliers: Hotels, Flights, Car Rentals, etc.
Maps: GoogleMaps et al.

Technical Challenges

Translation & GIS data: How we do it, what we'd like to to differently, what we can give back to the GIS community.
Product Design, Usability & Graphics: Ideas about how to make Tripter easier to use.
Web Development: Our choice of technologies. Got a better idea?
Hosting: After some initial stumbles, we're feeling pretty good about this.
